Co-Op Business Club
Shared Marketing Infrastructure for Local Business
March 2026

Position: Executive Assistant

Location: Austin, Texas (in-person required)

Type: Full-time  ·  Reports to: Founder & CEO

If You Give Me Your Word That
Something Is Done
It Had Better Be Done.

This is a letter about a job. But it is also a test.

The person I'm looking for reads the way I write. They move the way I think. They don't wait to be told what to do next because the thing that needs doing is already obvious to them.

If you have to ask what "done" means, this isn't your role.

If you already know — keep reading.

What This Company Is

Co-Op Business Club is a shared marketing infrastructure platform built for local businesses. It is powered by an AI system named Marvin. The idea is simple: small businesses fail at marketing not because they lack talent, but because they can't afford the infrastructure that big companies take for granted.

We built that infrastructure. We made it shared. Now we're launching it city by city across North America.

Austin is first. March 26th is the public launch at Capital Factory. One hundred local business owners in a room. Marvin goes public for the first time.

This is the moment. You would be walking in at the moment.

What The Job Actually Is

You are the execution layer between my decisions and the world.

I think. I direct. I decide.
You make it happen — completely, correctly,
and without me touching it again.

That means all of the following, handled without prompting:

  • Travel and logistics — flights, hotels, bookings, confirmations, changes.
  • Communications — emails drafted and sent in my voice, follow-ups managed, responses handled.
  • Research — the answer, verified, presented clearly. Not a list of links.
  • Vendor and partner coordination — you are the point of contact until it is resolved.
  • Scheduling — the calendar is yours. Nothing gets on it without purpose.
  • Event logistics — on the ground in Austin for March 26th and every city launch after that.
  • SOP execution — we build the process once together. You run it independently after that.
  • Personal coordination — appointments, reservations, anything that takes time I shouldn't spend.

You maintain a running log of open items. You close them. You confirm they are closed. You bring me only the things that genuinely require a decision — not status updates, not check-ins, not questions you could answer yourself.

What This Is Not

  • This is not a role where you wait to be told what to do next.
  • This is not a role where "I sent the email" counts as done. Done means confirmed, responded to, and resolved.
  • This is not a role for someone who needs daily direction to stay productive.

Who You Are

You have done this before. Not necessarily with this title — but with this mindset.

You may have been a career EA to a founder. A project manager who ran operations. A COO of a small company who liked the execution more than the politics. The title doesn't matter. The instinct does.

You are uncomfortable when things are unfinished. You close loops before being asked. You write clearly and professionally. You are unfazed by ambiguity and don't need perfect information to take the next step.

You are in Austin or willing to be. You are available to be physically present when it matters.

You do not need to be managed. You need to be trusted. You earn that by delivering.
